The Environmental History of Richard Nixon
The person that I choose who is important to the environment in Richard Nixon. Richard Nixon was the thirty seventh president of the United State's of America. During his run in office he signed the national environmental policy act and established the environmental protection agency, which was charged with coordinating and enforcing federal environmental policy. During his run he also signed vital acts that benefit the Environment being the clean air act and the clean water act. The clean air act was signed on December thirty first, in 1970 to foster the growth of a strong American economy and industry while improving human health and the environment. During the time of being a president Richard Nixon dedicated the time and resources needed to counteract the environmental damage caused by the previous era.
